Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting, 2-3 December 2010

The IAEA Board of Governors will convene a regular meeting at the Agency's headquarters starting at 10:30 a.m. CET on Thursday, 2 December 2010, in Boardroom A of the M-Building, in the Vienna International Centre (VIC).

Director General Yukiya Amano will open the meeting with an introductory statement. His statement will be released to journalists after delivery and posted on the IAEA website the same day. Director General Amano is also expected to hold a press conference on 2 December, at 14:30.

Reports by the Director General on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement and Relevant Provisions of Security Council Resolutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran, and on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement in the Syrian Arab Republic, will be discussed.

Board discussions are also expected on issues related to application of safeguards in the Democratic People´s Republic of Korea, IAEA technical cooperation programmes and Assurance of Nuclear Supply.

The board discussions are closed to the press.

Photo-Op:

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each morning and afternoon session.

Press Working Area:

A press working area will be set up outside the Press Room on the M-Building´s ground floor starting from 09:00 on Thursday, 2 December 2010. This area will be dedicated to working press for the duration of the Board of Governors Meeting.
