5, Monday. Board of Governors Opens March Deliberations. The IAEA Board of Governors started its meeting at the Agency's headquarters to discuss the IAEA's work on nuclear verification, safety, security and the peaceful use of nuclear technologies. Director General Yukiya Amano opened the meeting with a statement. He also briefed the media following the opening of the Board meeting. In his statement at the Press Conference he addressed some of the most pressing issues to the nuclear community. 24, Friday. Iran Safeguards Reports Circulated to IAEA Board. IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano circulated his report on nuclear safeguards in Iran to the Agency's Board of Governors, the 35-member policymaking body. 22, Wednesday. Communications from Iran. The IAEA circulated two communications from the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the first (issued as INFCIRC/835) transmitting a letter dated 17 January 2012 to the Chairman of the Board of Governors, and the second (issued as INFCIRC/836) transmitting a letter dated 11 January 2012 to the Chairman of the Vienna Chapter of the Non-Aligned Movement. 22, Wednesday. IAEA Expert Team Returns from Iran. A senior IAEA expert team is returning from Iran after two days of discussions with Iranian officials held on 20 and 21 February. Press Release
21, Tuesday. IAEA Team Visits Iran. A five-member IAEA team departed for Iran on 19 February for talks aimed at resolving all outstanding issues in relation to Iran's nuclear programme. Full Story

30, Monday. Senior IAEA Team Arrives in Iran. A senior IAEA team arrived in Tehran, Iran on 29 January 2012.
According to a statement issued by the IAEA on 23 January 2011, the overall objective of the mission is to resolve all outstanding substantive issues. The team of experts is led by the Deputy Director General for Safeguards, Herman Nackaerts, and includes the Assistant Director General for Policy, Rafael Grossi.
"The Agency team is going to Iran in a constructive spirit, and we trust that Iran will work with us in that same spirit," IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano said. Press Release, 23 January 2012
