Depleted Uranium in Kuwait IAEA Investigation Finds DU No Threat
An IAEA investigation in Kuwait has found that depleted uranium (DU) from
munitions used in the 1991 Gulf War does not pose a radiological hazard to
the people of Kuwait. At the request of the Kuwait Government, in February
2002 the Agency sent a team of senior international experts to assess possible
long-term radiological impacts of DU residues at 11 locations in Kuwait.
