Agency's Technical Cooperation Projects supporting the Protection of the Marine Environment
MEL provides scientific and technical support for the planning and implementation of Technical Co-operation Projects. This includes capacity building through provision of expertise, field and laboratory training and advice concerning equipment requirements; and collaborative investigations, including field and analytical work. The laboratory supports the organisation of scientific and training cruises and MEL scientists participate in these cruises and assist with analytical, assessment and research work. TC Projects are supported through MEL's three sections, providing a comprehensive approach to marine pollution and process studies through the use of nuclear analytical and tracer techniques.
