Nuclear Energy Handbook

Responsible for the supervision of nuclear energy in Finland. The responsibilities include preparation of legislation, drafting and implementation of international agreements, supervision of the planning and realisation of nuclear waste management, administration of the Nuclear Waste Fund, and co-ordination of Finland's participation in the activities of the European Atomic Energy Community, International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA) of the OECD, and the Nordic Nuclear Safety Research Programme (NKS).
