Conference Article: Discussion About Several Key Problems To Develop Helium Gas Turbo Compressor System of HTR-10GT

Limin Xu, Harbin Marine Boiler and Turbine Research Institute, Harbin, CHINA

Abstract

The Helium gas turbo compressor system is the key system in the project of HTR-10GT. In this article, several key problems to develop turbo compressor system are discussed, such as: stage load and energy head coefficient, little potential increase of peripheral linear velocity, reduction of excessive energy head coefficient, reduction of excessive diffusion factor, stage model method, efficiency of small flow passage compressor, low Reynolds number, etc. Author also gives measures and solutions of those problems. It is important to carry out detail tests and research to design the compressors and turbine.
