Abstract

In 1998 the unique experiment on withdrawing of the graphite column from reactor RBMK-1000 of Leningrad NPP Unit 3 has been performed. The graphite column (all 14 graphite bricks) was withdrawn from the cell 12-36 after 18 years of reactor operation for long scale investigation of graphite brick (GB) behaviour and estimation of methods of graphite core dismantling.
