Abstract

This code is intended to calculate transient and emergency modes in GT-MHR reactor plant. The field of application of GTMHR code includes the following: normal operation modes, abnormal operation modes requiring emergency plant shift on lowered capacity, emergency modes under different equipment and systems failure combinations. The code takes into account plant features and models of all the main processes taking place in its elements (except RCCS- reactor cavity cooling system). The distinctive feature of the code is its operating speed and stability of numerical calculation. GTMHR code is an engineering code intended to use in operation and design calculations to substantiate safety of the plants with HTGR-type reactors and to select, to substantiate and to optimize scheme-design decisions and control algorithms (including those of interconnected RP control and electric power system).
