Abstract

CEA, in partnership with FRAMATOME ANP is developing the ATLAS (Advanced Thermal mechanicaL Analysis Softfware) code with the following objectives:

The V1.0 ATLAS version, which constitutes the basis of the code, has been developed within the 5th European Framework Programme. Using a finite element method, this preliminary version allows to perform thermal and mechanical calculations of a full particle, in which kernel, buffer and coating behaviour under irradiation are calculated. Calculations coming from the 6th Co-ordinated Research Program benchmark are presented.
