Abstract
The project ANGSTREM of a modular-transportable nuclear power-and-heating station
with assured safety for remote areas is described. The station is based on fast nuclear
reactor cooling by a lead-bismuth eutectic. The possible evolution of the project is
mentioned in relation to possible new application - sea water desalination or refrigeration
plants.
