Conference Article: Alternate energy conversion systems in GCFR power plants
Sarlos, G. (Eidgenoessisches Inst. fuer Reaktorforschung, Wuerenlingen (Switzerland))
Abstract
The results of a comparative study are presented here concerning different energy conversion systems with a He cooled fast breeder reactor, Designs using gas turbines in a direct cycle are compared with the indirect steam cycle. The main criteria used for this comparison are the plants’ economic, safety, and engineering aspects.
