INIS & NKM Section at the 49th IAEA General Conference 2005
At the occasion of the 49th IAEA General Conference, the INIS & Nuclear Knowledge Management Section organised distinguished representations of the Section:
- Briefing entitled "INIS and Nuclear Knowledge Management" was given at the NGO/IGO Meeting on 26 September 2005.
- Briefing entitled "INIS: Nuclear Information Helping the World" was given at the Scientific Forum on 27 September 2005.
- Presentation entitled "Nuclear Information & Knowledge management" on 28 September 2005.
A total of 152 visitors at the Stand, and a total of 2078 of topical and promotional CD's were collected by participants.
Nuclear Information and Knowledge Management Briefing
The International Nuclear Information System (INIS) is the leading information source for scientific and technical literature published worldwide on the peaceful applications of nuclear science and technology.
The Briefing included an overview of recent developments in nuclear information and knowledge management within the INIS and Nuclear Knowledge Management Section. It highlighted the importance of active participation in INIS and the benefits to the Member States.
Extracts from INIS Information Resources on CD-ROM were made available during this Briefing.
