| Ever since 1969 and by now, the CENTRE OF TECHNOLOGY AND ENGINEERING FOR NUCLEAR PROJECTS (CITON), previously known as: ISPE, IRNE, ISPE-DN, has provided the engineering support for developing the nuclear programme in Romania. Its contribution has been finalized by the elaboration of studies and technical documentation required to build a 5x700MW Nuclear Power Plant at Cernavoda. Institute's 350 engineering employees experienced in the field of the design, co-ordination and management of the nuclear activities required by a nuclear programme, activities which have been certified by the 25 years of co-operation with Canadian, Italian and American partners, is the only Institute in Romania specialized and licensed to carry out nuclear designs. |
