AUSTRON: The Neutron Spallation Source Project

| In accordance with the Working Agreement of the coalition parties, the Austrian Government has declared for the legislative period 1990 - 94 and reiterated in 1996 the intention to strive for the allocation of an large-scale international research facility. Two relevant project proposals have emerged after examination of several interesting initiatives, namely AUSTRON and EURO-CRYST, which have gained international recognition. |
