| Many of the storage facilities at America's nuclear plants are near capacity. The utilities cannot wait until a permanent storage site is built. So a consortium of electric power companies formed Private Fuel Storage, LLC (PFS). This group applied to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) for a license to build a temporary storage facility on the Skull Valley Goshute Reservation in Tooele County. |
