The mission of IRMM is to promote a common European measurement system in support of EU policies, especially internal market, environment, health and consumer protection standards. IRMM prime objectives are to develop and perform specific reference measurements, to produce certified reference materials, to organise international measurement evaluation programmes, to establish trans-national data bases, and to carry out prenormative research.
