ALADDIN, A Labelled Atomic Data INterface, is a both a data format and database system developed in order to provide a standard and flexible format and interface for the exchange and management of atomic, molecular, and plasma-surface interaction and material properties data of interest to fusion research. It was originally designed by R. Hulse at the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory. It is the system adopted by the IAEA and the A+M/PMI Data Centre Network for the exchange of data since 1988.
  • atomic and molecular (spectroscopic and collisional) data
  • particle-surface interaction data
  • material properties data
  • ALADDIN evaluation functions
