The 57th IAEA General Conference and INIS

24 September 2013 - During the 57th IAEA General Conference held in Vienna from 16 to 20 September 2013, several Member States highlighted their recognition of and appreciation for the role of INIS in their statements.

Egypt

"I would like to reiterate my country’s appreciation for the close cooperation between Egypt and the Agency in other sectors, in particular the support that the Agency is providing to scientific research in Egypt, and for that we highly appreciate the role of the International Nuclear Information System (INIS) in managing nuclear information and knowledge transfer to support the national nuclear programs."

Slovakia

"In this connection we highly appreciate the work of the International Nuclear Information System ( INIS). INIS continued to play valuable role in nuclear information management and knowledge preservation. INIS remains an important source for the provision of reliable nuclear information services in support to the national nuclear program and activities in Member States. Therefore, further support to INIS is most encouraged."

Malaysia

"Malaysia recognises the valuable role played by the International Nuclear Information System (INIS) in managing nuclear information and preserving nuclear knowledge and encouraged the Agency to continue supporting such activities for the benefits of all Member States."
