A World Nuclear University Event

18 March 2008 – Researchers, scientists and students in the nuclear field from developing and developed countries are invited to apply for participation in the Joint ICTP/IAEA School of Nuclear Knowledge Management, which will be held in Trieste, Italy, on 1 to 5 September 2008.

The School, to take place for the fifth time, is jointly organized by Abdus Salam International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), in cooperation with the World Nuclear Association (WNA).

The training course will focus on all aspects of knowledge management in nuclear science and technology including knowledge creation and sharing, knowledge mining and other innovative approaches. Experts from academia, industry and governmental and technical organizations with recognized knowledge management programmes will share good practices, offer practical solutions and highlight lessons learned to date.

The aim is to help participants adopt a 'thinking forward' approach, gain insights in knowledge management in nuclear organizations, and apply what they have learned in their workplace in the nuclear sector.
