Conference Article: Leak-Before-Break Analysis Of The HTR-10's Hot-Gas Duct Vessel
Zhengming Zhang, Shuyuan He, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Beijing, CHINAAbstract
The Hot Gas Duct Vessel (HGDV) of the 10MW High Temperature Gas-cooled Experimental Reactor (HTR-10) is the weak part of the Primary Loop Boundary Components because it bears complex loads due to the interior pressure and bolt forces as well as additional seismic and installation loads. The additional loads are the main source of the stresses in the HGDV and have significant effect on the structural safety. With these loads, the HGDV not only has features of a pressure vessel, but also of a pressurized pipe. In this paper, the Leak-before-Break (LBB) characteristic of the HGDV is analyzed and demonstrated.
