Conference Article: Fatigue Analysis of Steam Generator In HTR-10

Xiaotian Li, Shuyuan He, Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology, Beijing, CHINA

Abstract

If 10MW high temperature gas cooling reactor restarts up in short time after hot shutdown, the reactor could start up and improve power quickly. However, the temperature of steam generator reduces slowly after hot shutdown and is about 430 C, the temperature of the secondary loop when hot start is about 100 C. So the large temperature difference will generate high thermal stress to lead fatigue damage at the weld joint of the tube and tube-plate of steam generator. This paper will analysis the temperature difference, calculate stress level and evaluate fatigue damage of weld joint of steam generator in HTR-10.
