Abstract

FSUE OKB Mechanical Engineering is specialized in the field of development of reactor plants and their components for nuclear plants and different ships. Company’s production base permits to manufacture and supply to Customer a large range of developed articles. The use of modern computer technologies, which important part is a top-level CAD-system, is one of the way to achieve the company goals. Accumulated 10-year operation experience of a top-level system shows achieved reduction of design period, quality improvement and funds saving, that is the main purpose of computer technologies as a whole and top-level CAD in particular. All newly developed arrangements of reactor plants and their components are made by 3D means. The particular problem, which is solved now by 3D means is design and analysis of box-like research facility for the production of GT-MHR experimental fuel. The box-like research facility (BRF) is processing line for the production of experimental fuel in the form of sequence of leak tight boxes with equipment and systems located in them. High saturation of boxes with equipment and spatial pipelines determines the top-level CAD system as a design tool option.
