Abstract

In the framework of the Coordinated Research Program on “Intercomparison of LMFBR Seismic Analysis Codes” organized by IAEA/IWGFR, a series of dynamic and seismic response analyses was performed on the PEC reactor core mock-up experiment. The experiment is shaking table tests using up to nineteen full size mock-up elements of PEC reactor. The corresponding analyses were made by FINAS with a five element -model (central row) and a twelve element -model (upper half core), after some preliminary analyses. The seismic response analyses with the five element and twelve element models give fairly close responses to those measured in the experiment. From these results, it can be concluded that the present analysis is adequate with minor adjustment (damping, for example) may be done.
