Since 1989 the PRIS database has been available on-line for direct access via international public data networks or public switched telephone systems. In 1995, this service was improved with the release of the new system, PRIS-PC, which enables direct connection to the PRIS database under Windows through the INTERNET or through direct dial-up connection to the IAEA.
