World Nuclear University Announces 2006 Summer Institute

3 July 2006 | Eighty-eight Fellows, comprising some of the brightest young minds in the nuclear field, from 34 countries have been selected to attend the 2006 WNU Summer Institute. Starting 8 July – 18 August, the Institute is hosted by the Swedish Centre for Nuclear Technology (SCNT), Sweden´s Royal Institute of Technology (RIT) and France´s Commissariat à l´Energie Atomique (CEA). Spanish Children Send Nobel Wishes to IAEA

20 June 2006 | Children stand high on the list of well-wishers to Nobel Laureate Mohamed ElBaradei. One school in Fuenlabrada, a suburb of Madrid celebrates "Peace Day" every year on 27 January. In 2006, about 300 children between the ages of 6 and 14 wrote letters to the IAEA Director General. They wanted to send their greetings and congratulations on winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Teachers informed the children about the Nobel Prize and why Mohamed El Baradei and the IAEA were honoured in 2005. Full Story »
