Marc Vidricaire

Director of Public Information and Spokesperson, IAEA

Marc Vidricaire joined the IAEA as Director of Public Information and Spokesperson in September 2005.

Before coming to the Agency, Mr. Vidricaire spent 24 years in the Canadian Diplomatic Service. Most recently, he served as the Director of the Nuclear and Chemical Disarmament Implementation Division. During his career in the Foreign service, Mr. Vidricaire worked extensively on disarmament issues, and issues pertaining to the United Nations, the International Court of Justice, the environment, social affairs and human rights. Trained as a lawyer, Mr. Vidricaire was admitted to Canada´s Quebec Bar in 1980. He also holds an International Diploma in Public Administration, from École Nationale d´Administration (ENA), Paris, France.

Mr. Vidricaire is a native French speaker and is fluent in English.
