The text of the Agreement of 8 July 1982 Between Argentina and the Agency for the Application of Safeguards in Connection with the Supply of Nuclear Material from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics

  1. The Agreement1/ between the Republic of Argentina, the Federative Republic of Brazil, the Brazilian-Argentine Agency for Accounting and Control of Nuclear Materials and the International Atomic Energy Agency for the Application of Safeguards came into force on 4 March 1994.

  2. As a result of the coming into force of the aforesaid Agreement for Argentina, the application of safeguards under the Agreement2/ of 8 July 1982 between Argentina and the IAEA for the application of safeguards in connection with the supply of nuclear material from the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics has been suspended.
