Supplementary Agreement to the Agreement between the Republic of Austria and the International Atomic Energy Agency Regarding the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency Concerning Access to the Austrian Labour Market for Spouses and Dependent Relatives of Officials of that Organization

Dear Sir,
Referring to Section 49 lit.c of the agreement between the Republic of Austria and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency, signed in Vienna on 11 December 1957, I have the honour to propose the following:
In addition to the privileges and immunities granted to the International Atomic Energy Agency, spouses and dependent relatives of officials of the International Atomic Energy Agency shall have access to the labour market in accordance with Austrian law, but on a preferential basis in accordance with the procedures outlined in the annex attached to this letter. Insofar as such persons engage in gainful occupation, privileges and immunities shall not apply to such occupation.
I propose that this letter and your affirmative letter shall constitute a supplementary agreement to the agreement between the Republic of Austria and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency, which will enter into force on the tenth day after the receipt of your affirmative letter.

Mrs. State Secretary,
I have the honour to refer to your letter No. 3005.31/0015e-I.2/98 of 8 January 1999 which reads:

I have the honour to confirm the above-mentioned proposal is acceptable to the International Atomic Energy Agency and that your letter and this reply shall constitute a supplementary agreement between the Republic of Austria and the International Atomic Energy Agency regarding the Headquarters of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
