A communication dated 21 December 1995 from the Permanent Mission of Finland
The Permanent Mission of Finland presents its compliments to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency and has the honour to inform him, that the Government of Finland as Member State of the European Union as of 1 January 1995 has upon accession to the European Union adopted the common policy declaration adopted on 20 November 1984 by the ministers for foreign affairs of the then ten members of the European Community, which was transmitted to the Director General by the Resident Representative of Italy, on behalf of the Community, on 22 March 1985 and which is reproduced in document INFCIRC/322. The declaration deals with transfers of nuclear material, equipment and technology between the Member States of the European Community.
The Government of Finland would be grateful if the Director General were to bring this Note to the attention of the Member States of the IAEA.
The Permanent Mission of Finland avails itself of this opportunity to renew to the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency the assurances of its highest consideration.
