In Russian, The Polygon stands for a nuclear test site. This film looks at the legacy of what was once a top secret area, now abandoned but still sparsely populated, of 19,000 square kilometres in Kazakhstan. The former Soviet Union used this site for hundreds of nuclear tests from 1947-1991.
