The nineteenth session of the Commission on Sustainable Development (CSD-19) convened from 2 to 13 May 2011, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York, focused once again on the thematic areas of transport, chemicals, waste management, mining and a 10-year framework of programmes on sustainable consumption and production patterns. IAEA SIDE EVENT ON PROVIDING CLEWS: CLIMATE, LAND-USE, ENERGY AND WATER STRATEGIES FOR THE GREEN ECONOMY
On 5 May 2011, the IAEA organized a side event to discuss important issues facing CSD-19 in connection with providing climate, land-use, energy and water strategies for the green economy. H-Holger Rogner, Head of the Planning and Economic Studies Section, IAEA, gave a presentation on Providing CLEWS: Climate, Land-use, Energy and Water Strategies for the Green Economy.
