Planning & Economic Studies Section (PESS):
Capacity Building for Sustainable Energy Development
15th Session of the Commission on Sustainable Development: CSD-15 (30 April-11 May 2007)
NO DECISION
CSD-15 could not agree on new negotiated text. Thus the 2001 CSD-9 decision on energy and the 2002 Johannesburg Plan of Implementation remain the operative CSD texts on energy. Both keep the nuclear power option open. A "Chairman's summary" of CSD-15 was circulated several weeks later. It has much less authority than negotiated text.
IAEA/OECD-NEA SIDE EVENT ON NUCLEAR POWER: STATUS AND OUTLOOK
