International PLiM Symposium 2007
As about half of all worldwide installed NPPs have over 20 years of operation, plant life management issues and activities for continued operation are a topic of great relevance to the future of nuclear power plant. To meet Member States’ wishes, the 2nd international symposium on plant life management (PLiM) will be held on October 15-18 2007 at Shanghai, China. In this connection the technical meeting was held from 4 - 6 April 2006 at VIC to prepare the structure and scientific programme for the 2nd international symposium on PLiM with following items with 28 technical committee members from 22 MS and 2 the international organizations.
- Tentative list of sessions and topics,
- Structure of opening session,
- Title and topics to be addressed in the session papers,
- Structure for panel discussion on current national approaches to plant life management,
- Invited papers and keynote presentation,
- Technical tour, and
- Organization arrangement from host organization
7 technical sessions with topics including panel discussion were decided as follows:
- Session A: Opening, plenary and keynote presentations
- Session B: Approaches to plant life management
- Session C: Economics of plant life management
- Session D: Ageing management and related operational programme
- Session E: SSC design modification, modernization, refurbishment and replacement
- Session F: Managerial issues concerned with plant life management
- Session n G: Regulatory issues concerned with plant life management
- Panel discussion on current national approaches to plant life management.
