The purpose of the Status and Trends report series is to compile and disseminate information about the status of and trends in radioactive waste management in IAEA Member States in a timely manner. The reports are suitable for radioactive waste managers and regulators, decision making organizations in both governmental and private sectors, and for IAEA Departments, in both the regular and Technical Cooperation programmes. Currently, the reports are targeted at readers with a good knowledge of radioactive waste management. However, the plan is to have the document evolve to serve a broader audience using easy-to understand graphical and tabular data.
Reports are divided into the following subject areas: National Systems, Classification of Waste, Sources of Waste, Decommissioning, Remediation, Pre-Disposal Management, Waste Disposal, Management of Sources, Data Collection and Reporting, and General.
