The video gives an overview of the dismantling of this 5 MW thermal power reactor, which took place over two years from 2006-2008. The reactor had been in operation from 1959-1975. The main sequence of activities is illustrated including the use of a sealed tent to prevent the release of airborne contamination, the removal of lead and graphite elements and the final demolition and removal of the reactor. About two-thirds of the redundant materials were free released.
