Training
Annual Group Fellowship Training in "Nuclear Spectroscopy and Instrumentation Maintenance"
The training is practically oriented with special emphasis on troubleshooting
and repair of typical modules in nuclear spectroscopy instruments.
The program of the training includes lectures and practical exercises carried out
individually by the trainees under permanent supervision of the experienced
staff members. Major objectives are: updating of the theoretical knowledge,
improving background and developing practical skills of the trainees in different
areas of modern nuclear electronics:
- Principles of radiation detection Spectrometry systems
- Dosimetry and radiation protection
- Power conditioning
- Electrical measurements
- Fundamentals of digital electronics
- Micro-Processors and Micro-Controllers
- Power supplies
- Analog signal processing
- Multichannel analyzers
- PC standard interfaces
