Radioecology
Compilation of radioecological models for the assessment of transfer and impact of radionuclides in the environment.
This database was created to support radioecologists in finding and selecting appropriate tools for modelling transfer of radionuclides in the environment and for undertaking impact assessments. It should provide a forum for information exchange on models, give contact addresses, literature citations and information on the application field of the models and the radionuclides for which they have been tested. Details on each model can be found by using the link to the model description. Additional available information on model validation, uncertainty of models and model comparability will help future users to select the optimal model for their purposes.
The user can search for a model in the following ways:
- Listing of all models available in the database
- Models sorted by radionuclides or groups of radionuclides
- Models sorted by field of application
Note: This compilation is based on the voluntary input of radioecologists and institutes. The IAEA's Chemistry Unit did not make any judgement on the quality of the models or their fitness for any particular purpose. Further input to this compilation is appreciated and should be address to the Chemistry Unit official.mail@IAEA.org .
