Fellowship and Training Programmes at the IAEA Laboratories
Training and Conference Facility
The Training Support Assistance is housed in one of the wings of the Seibersdorf Laboratories. It is completely dedicated to training course activities and includes auditorium equipped with modern technical tools for up to 100 people. In addition, a main teaching laboratory for practical exercises, an electronic training laboratory, meeting facility and internet room for fellows and trainees are also available.
Training Support Assistance
is provided to the fellows (approx. 90-110 per year), scientific visitors (approx. 10-20) and trainees (approx. 100-150) who are representing the Member States (multi-cultural context). The assistance is mainly focused on two aspects. First is to co-ordinate all administrative and logistical matters concerning the implementation of the Laboratory fellowship and training programmes and second is to provide them with full welfare support. TheTraining Support Assistance plays a key role as the primary day-to-day interface between the fellows, scientific visitors and trainees and their technical supervisors as well as the TC counterparts.
