Procurement Services At NAAL
The Procurement Office is located on the Laboratory site in Seibersdorf and is part of the General Services & Safety Section. Procurement for Agency's Laboratories are by nature complex as a wide range of Services and Goods needs to be procured. (When procuring goods and services, we strive for timely acquisition while helping staff achieve their objectives, ensuring fairness, integrity and transparency through competition, pursuing economy and effectiveness and seeking the best value for money)
The procurement Office is expert in the provision of the following procurement-related services:
- Planning & identification of requirements
- Preparation of technical specifications
- Preparation of bidding documents
- Market research and supplier selection
The Office comprises 3 Staff members responsible for the whole procurement process and for some additional administrative and logistic. This includes:
- Issuance of Orders
- Receipt of Goods
- Control and Payment of respective invoices
- Petty cash reimbursements
- Logistic support activities, in particular with respect to shipments
- Custody and distribution of all Lab Keys
- Coordination with the central Inventory Control Unit
- Cafeteria invoice and inventory control
We have built this expertise over many years and are continually involved in supporting our staff at NAAL where we make a real difference in getting the right goods to the right place at the right time.
