TWG ON NUCLEAR POWER PLANT PERSONNEL TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION
The TWG-T&Q considers new developments, disseminate information and exchange experience on all aspects of the training and qualification of nuclear power plant personnel, who, as the human element, are essential for ensuring safe, reliable and economic performance of all phases of the NPP life cycle including operation. A broad integrated approach to training and qualification is expected that considers technical competencies, soft skills and attitudes of both individuals and teams, and human performance improvement at all levels of the organization, including those of managers and supervisors. A systematic approach to training of the nuclear power plant personnel is vitally important in this respect.
The safe, reliable and economic operation of a nuclear power plant depends upon the successful implementation of a large number of diverse activities undertaken by the plant personnel. The following activities are examples of some of those that are to be considered by the TWG-T&Q in the context of personnel training and qualification:

Coordination and collaboration of activities in the T&Q area with relevant organizations such as WANO to create synergy effect.
