Technical Meeting on Effective Utilization of Nuclear Power Plant Simulators as Introductory Educational Tools

The purpose of this meeting is to exchange information on how the PC-based simulators are being used by universities and other organizations, and to discuss future improvements to these simulators as well as to the associated training workshops and teaching methodologies. There are three specific objectives to this meeting on the effective utilization of nuclear power plant (NPP) simulators as introductory educational tools and these are as follows:

  • Understand the various types of simulators currently being maintained
  • Learn how these tools are being used in educational and training programmes
  • Discuss how improvements in these tools can enhance the learning experience
