2 September 2011 - UAE Government notified the IAEA of its intention to de-restrict the report of Integrated Nuclear Infrastructure Review Mission (INIR) to UAE consistent with the UAE Government transparent policy. A comprehensive review of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) programme for the introduction of nuclear power was carried out by the IAEA's INIR mission in January 2011. The international team of experts found that the country understands the long-term commitments and responsibilities of nuclear power and is implementing its programme in line with the IAEA "Milestones" approach. 27 July 2011 - A new user-friendly online version makes it easier to search for and download publications issued in the IAEA Nuclear Energy Series. Known as "Clickable Map", the web pages offer easy access to guides and reports on nuclear power, the nuclear fuel cycle, radioactive waste management and decommissioning, as well as basic principles in these areas. A search function allows users to browse the currently 1200 documents available on the site, both NE Series and other supporting publications. Read more...
