The Technical Steering Committee of the Graphite Knowledge Base is made up of:
one representative from each Member State of the Graphite Knowledge Base appointed by the appropriate national authority
one representative of each Associate Knowledge Base Member
an IAEA representative (Scientific Secretary)
a Technical Steering Committee Chairman
The Technical Working Group on Gas Cooled Reactors (TWGGCR) shall be invited as an observer at Steering Committee meetings. The Technical Steering Committee meets approximately once a year. The programme of the Technical Steering Committee include:
all technical matters relating to the Graphite Knowledge Base and Graphite Database operations
evaluation of the Graphite Knowledge Base status and operations, and the progress made in its development
recommendations on the procedures regulating the operation of the Graphite Knowledge Base
consideration of financial aspects of the Graphite Knowledge Base and related projects, recommending relevant measures and actions
discussion of proposals from the Members and Associate Members of the Graphite Database relating to the operation and development of the Graphite Database
The Steering Committee meetings are held at no cost to the IAEA. The IAEA Nuclear Energy Division provides, however, management services for the meetings and an IT specialist to oversee the management of the Knowledge Base software. The Chairman of the Technical Steering Committee may invite representatives of Graphite Database Sponsors to attend the Technical Steering Committee meetings as observers for obtaining information or advice on specific items of the agenda or following a specific request for attendance from the Sponsors. The invitation will be extended through the IAEA.
