Knowledge Base and Database Content
The Graphite Database contains key physical properties data for various nuclear-grade graphites, under various reactor conditions, and to high neutron fluence.
The database presently has contributions from the United Kingdom, the United States, Germany, The Netherlands and Japan. As of February 2010 well over 30,000 records are in the Database. More than 100 mainly physical and mechanical property categories are included.
The Graphite Knowledge Base was initiated in January 2010 and is currently under development. A detailed structure for the Knowledge Base as agreed at a Technical Steering Committee Meeting held in November 2009 and will be published shortly within the Minutes of that meeting as a Nuclear Data Section report (the project transferred from that Section to the Nuclear Energy Division of the IAEA on the same date).
