The third WNU Summer Institute will be held in Daejeon, Korea, 14 July-24 August 2007, hosted by the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co (KHNP).

Some 90 applicants will be selected to attend an intensive six-week programme of lectures and tutorials presented by some of the world´s foremost authorities on global environment, sustainable development, nuclear-related technology innovation, non-proliferation issues and nuclear industry practices. The programme also includes technical tours of nuclear and industrial facilities as well as cultural and social activities.

With the completion of the 2006 Summer Institute in Sweden and France earlier this year, there are now 166 Fellows from 44 countries who have completed this World Nuclear University initiative – and become part of an expanding global network of future leaders in the nuclear profession. Fifty-three of these Fellows have been fully funded by the IAEA.

Deadline for applications is 30 November 2006.
