28 April 2009 | IAEA Radiation Safety experts together with a leading US Diagnostic Radiologist will brief journalists at IAEA headquarters in Vienna on Wednesday, 29 April, at 10:00 in room B0709, on new initiatives to enhance patient protection in the face of increased use of ionizing radiation in diagnostic x-rays. As a key coordinating body of radiation protection for patients, the IAEA is leading several programmes designed to explore the impact of new technologies in medicine and to minimize the risks.
