29 August 2007 | Senior representatives from 144 member states of the International Atomic Energy Organization will meet at the Austria Centre in Vienna on Monday, 17 September, for the five-day IAEA annual General Conference to discuss major topics on the organization's agenda.
All plenary sessions of the General Conference, from 17 to 21 September, and of the Scientific Forum, from 18 to 20 September, will be open to the press. The latter event is aimed at stimulating discussion on scientific and other issues relating to the IAEA’s activities.
The Scientific Forum, to be held for the 10th time this year, will focus on:
