Press Arrangements for IAEA Board of Governors Meeting

Starting 24 November 2005, Vienna, Austria

17 November 2005 | The 24 November 2005 meeting of the Board of Governors will be preceded by a three-day meeting of the Technical Assistance and Cooperation Committee (TACC), convening on Monday, 21 November 2005. The 24 November meeting of the Board will discuss the TACC report, following an introductory statement by the Director General; nuclear verification and proposals for disbursement of the Agency´s monetary award from the Nobel Peace Prize for 2005; as well as any other business. The meeting will be held in the IAEA Boardroom on CO4.


The meeting is closed to the press.

Dr. ElBaradei´s statement will be released to journalists after delivery and placed on the IAEA website at about 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, 24 November 2005.

Photo-Op:

There will be a photo opportunity at the beginning of each morning and afternoon session. Please sign up by sending your e-mail to Veronika Schoel (v.schoehl@iaea.org). Camera crews should arrive at IAEA headquarters by 10:00 a.m. and proceed to the Boardroom on C04. Positions in the Boardroom must be taken by 10:15 a.m. or 14:45 p.m. for afternoon photo-ops.

Press Working Area:

Journalists may use the press working area on C03 (for print press, radio and TV).

There are telephone lines installed in the press area on C03. Please note that journalists requiring the use of telephones are advised to buy calling cards at the VIC Post Office or alternatively make use of a toll-free 0800-number for long-distance calls.

You are required to bring a valid press I.D. Advance notice of satellite trucks is also required.
