News Center: States Meeting At IAEA General Conference In September

8 September 2003 | High-level delegations from IAEA Member States are meeting at the annual General Conference in Vienna from Monday 15 to Friday 19 September on major issues facing the Agency. Also being convened is a Scientific Forum examining topics related to nuclear power, safety standards, safeguards, and nuclear medicine.


Media planning to cover the General Conference are requested to fill in the registration form attached and fax it to: (+43-1) 2600-29610 by Friday 12 September.

Press accreditation badges will be issued at the press registration desk at the entrance of the Austria Center from 14.00 to 18.00 p.m. on Sunday 14 September 2003 and from 8.00 a.m. Monday 15 September 2003. Please note that VIC Press Accreditation badges are not valid for entry into the Austria Center.

A Scientific Forum entitled “New Horizons: Nuclear Energy in a Changing World” will be held on 16-17 September in Room C at the Austria Center. On-line registration is available at: http://www-pub.iaea.org/MTCD/Meetings/GCSciForPF.asp.
