DOCUMENTARY: MISSION IRAQ
Mission Iraq, a documentary showing the work of the IAEA Nuclear Weapons Inspectors’ "Action Team" in uncovering Iraq’s secret nuclear progamme after the Gulf War, is available to the public.
The half hour video documents the obstacles the Action Team encountered and the results they achieved during 1991-1998, before the IAEA was forced to suspend inspections. During that period the Action Team carried out 29 onsite inspections and more than 1500 Ongoing Monitoring and Verification (OMV) inspections – to detect, deter and destroy prohibited nuclear activities.
